For the fifth year in a row, Flow Science is a proud sponsor of the annual Santa Fe Expanding Your Horizons C-STEM event. The event will be held Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Santa Fe Community College and is open to girls in grades 5-8. The Santa Fe EYH Conference is presented by the New Mexico Network for Women in Science & Engineering and the American Association of University Women-Santa Fe.
Expanding Your Horizons is a national organization that encourages young women to pursue science, technology, engineering, mathematics and computing (STEM-C) careers. The ultimate goal is to motivate girls to become innovative and creative thinkers ready to meet 21st century challenges.
This year, the Santa Fe EYH Conference will offer 150 girls in grades 5-8 a day-long conference with hands-on workshops in STEM-C and related fields. In a fun, supportive environment, girls meet other girls who are interested in STEM-C fields, and learn from female scientists and other professionals in careers that may include cryptography, earthquakes, water resources, robots, DNA, light and lasers, engineering, computer animation and emergency medicine.
