Dr. Tony Hirt, Founder of Flow Science, Inc. Receives the John Campbell Award
Flow Science, Inc. founder Dr. C.W. “Tony” Hirt was awarded the prestigious John Campbell Medal from the Institute of Cast Metals Engineers. Dr. Hirt received the award for his unique, long-lasting contributions to the science and practice of metal casting through his development of the FLOW-3D and its casting-specific version, FLOW-3D CAST.

Dr. Flender Holding GmbH, owner of MAGMA Giessereitechnologie GmbH and SIGMA Engineering GmbH, acquired 100% of the shares of Flow Science, Inc. in December 2021. With its broad range of products and services, Flow Science will continue to operate as an independent company as part of the Dr. Flender Holding group.

Announcing the 2022R1 FLOW-3D Product Release
Flow Science has launched the 2022R1 FLOW-3D product family release that includes FLOW-3D, FLOW-3D HYDRO and FLOW-3D CAST. The new versioning of FLOW-3D products reflects Flow Science’s adoption of a synchronized release naming convention and the transition to a unified code base for FLOW-3D products. This change will allow users access to the latest developments at a more frequent product release pace.
