USER MEETING AND TECHNICAL TRAINING
Call for Abstracts for the FLOW-3D HYDRO Symposium 2027!
The 2027 FLOW-3D HYDRO Symposium features two presentation formats. Submit an abstract to be considered as a speaker or a poster presenter.
Poster presentations will take place during our opening reception, offering a high-visibility, conversational setting where researchers and practitioners can share work using FLOW-3D HYDRO for validation or simulation. As a poster author, you will have the opportunity for direct engagement and discussion with peers in the water engineering community.
Speaker presentations are 20-minute slots organized around three program themes, with speakers from each day joining a closing Q&A panel. Speaking slots bring your work to the full symposium audience and contribute directly to the structured program.
When submitting your abstract, you may indicate a preference for either format. Speaking slots are limited, and we encourage those who are not selected for a presentation to participate in the poster session.
Both are an opportunity to contribute to the practice, connect with peers, and present your work to a community that shares your commitment to advancing CFD in water engineering. All accepted speakers and poster authors receive one complimentary registration. Abstracts will be accepted on a rolling basis, so early submissions are encouraged.
Presentation Themes
If you are interested in speaking, note that all speaker presentations should align with one of the following themes:
Streamlining Hydraulic Design
We’re seeking presentations on workflows, best practices, and strategies that help engineers get more value from CFD in their design process. Share how the integration of simulation is saving you time on your projects, reducing iteration cycles, or supporting greater confidence in design decisions.
Expanding Applications of CFD in Water Infrastructure
Tell us how you’re applying CFD beyond the typical use cases. Where is simulation unlocking value in areas you didn’t expect? How are you finding new ways to use FLOW-3D HYDRO across your projects? Are you using AI as part of your engineering project workflow?
Preparing Your Team for the Future
Show us how you’re building capacity and skills in CFD modeling within your company. We want to learn from your approaches to developing junior engineers, adapting to emerging tools and methods, and positioning your organization to lead as the field evolves.
