The 2013 FLOW-3D World Users Conference will be held at the Allerton Hotel in Chicago on September 19-20, 2013, preceded by a 1/2 day of free FlowSight™ training and poster session at the opening reception on September 18. We invite you to join Flow Science staff and FLOW-3D users from around the world for insightful presentations, engaging conversations and a chance to pose your questions directly to Flow Science's developers and support staff. The conference offers an excellent opportunity to interact with other experienced users of FLOW-3D, discover new modeling approaches, learn about the latest software developments, and hone your simulation skills.
FLOW-3D Japan Users Conference 2013
This year's FLOW-3D Japan Users Conference will be held Friday, October 25, 2013 at the Tokyo Conference Center Shinagawa. A full day of interesting user case studies and presentations by Flow Science developers will be offered. The conference is free for all FLOW-3D users in Japan. Recap of the 13th FLOW-3D European Users Conference
The 13th FLOW-3D European Users Conference was a resounding success with over 60 attendees, representing 14 countries. An exciting and diversified lineup of speakers included Roche Diagnostics GmbH, Électricité de France S.A., Sendekia, Form Stampi and Doğru Engineering Limited Co. Wave energy, aerospace, casting, microfluidics, coating, and hydraulics were among the represented application areas. Additionally, Michael Barkhudarov, VP of R&D at Flow Science spoke about upcoming solver developments, including advances in FLOW-3D's meshing techniques described in this newsletter, and John Ditter, VP of Software Engineering gave a presentation about the evolution of FLOW-3D interfaces. It was also announced that the 14th FLOW-3D European Users Conference will be held next June in Vienna, Austria.
In addition to the conference, attendees were able to participate in a free training on FlowSight, FLOW-3D's future visualization tool. An initial beta version was made available to all the attendees.
