Free FLOW-3D Cast Webinar
You're invited to attend a free webinar where Flow Science engineers will discuss successful high pressure die casting projects using FLOW-3D Cast, a highly-accurate casting simulation software for filling, solidification, and stress analysis. The demonstration will cover an ongoing analysis done by Flow Science, Inc. and C & H Die Casting. FLOW-3D Cast was used to analyze the flow and shrinkage defects in a thin-ribbed cover made of aluminum 380 alloy cast within a stainless steel mold. This is a follow-up to a webinar last year and compares two runner designs. Please join us and discover the results from the two runner types and the benefits of modeling the shot sleeve in HPDC simulations.
Additions to the FLOW-3D Users Site
We're constantly adding new materials to the FLOW-3D Users Site. The most recent additions are a comprehensive validation study, Code Verification for Fluid-Structure Interaction (along with related input files), new Simulation Setup and CFD Project Workflow Guides for FLOW-3D users, and a Low Pressure Die Casting Simulation Checklist for FLOW-3D Cast users. Login to the users site to access this new material.

Flow Science Sponsors STEM Event and Holds Workshop
Flow Science was a proud sponsor of the recent STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) event at the Santa Fe Community College in Santa Fe, NM. In addition to sponsoring the event, Flow Science employees, Anita Reynolds and Melissa Carter, ran a simulation workshop for 25 5th and 6th grade girls. See photos of the event on the Flow Science Facebook page.
