"The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt."
This issue of the News reminds me of the word versatility, meaning "turning with ease from one thing to another, or having many aptitudes." For example, there is a Development article about wave generation that describes a quite general program addition to allow users to generate all types of waves, be they linear or nonlinear. The new capability is based on a Fourier series method and has been set up as an easy-to-use utility.
Then there is an Application article that illustrates how what seems to be a special purpose physical model can easily turn out to have quite different applications unrelated to its original purpose. And in the Hints and Tips article you will find directions on how all the most popular CAD modeling programs can be used to generate STL geometry files for incorporation into FLOW-3D. What could be described as more versatile than that?
If you feel personally versatile why not make a contribution to one of the upcoming User Conferences listed in the News? Above all, please be assured that all of us at Flow Science are doing everything we can to make our software as versatile and useful as possible to satisfy our customers.
