Comings & Goings
Joyce takes charge of the FSI office.
From left to right: Tom Jensen, Ping Hao
(Tony), Wang Wenjuan, and Brian Tsai.
Joyce Jensen has joined the staff of Flow Science as Office Manager and License Administrator. Joyce has been office manager in other, smaller businesses, and has held a variety of positions in marketing and retail (her custom boot collection is not to be believed). So if you hear a different voice when you call, you’ll know what to harass her about...
Flow Science China Staff Members
We’re very happy to introduce the staff of Flow Science’s affiliated China operation, FLOW-3D Trading (Shanghai) Co. They are Tsai Yu-Pin (Brian), General Manager; Ping Hao (Tony), Engineer; and Wang Wenjuan, Administrative Assistant.
Joel on his way to Ohio and Siva, with his feet rooted to the ground.
Flow Science regrets to see two outstanding employees depart for other pastures.
Joel Jacob, who started in 2006, spent his entire tenure here as a Sales Engineer, and was a darn good one. He has left us for Ansys, where he will be an Applications Engineer for a year or two before a planned return to school for a doctoral degree.
More recently, Sivakumar Hariharan resigned to return to school to pursue an MBA degree at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. Siva, who started in 2004, was in customer support for the first part of his tenure, first as a CFD Support Engineer and later as an Applications Engineer. In the last year, he moved over to become a Sales Engineer.
Both Joel and Siva will be missed, but we wish them well...
From happy to sad and now, back to happy: Our favorite ironist, Amanda Ruggles, has had an eventful month. On July 19th, she exchanged vows of marriage in a cozy nightfall ceremony with Leonardo Fernandez. Congratulations, Amanda and Leo!
More relevant to Flow Science, Amanda was promoted to Marketing Manager on July 1. Amanda has come a long way, starting with the company as a temporary administrative assistant in 2005, becoming a full-time employee only a few weeks later and then moving into marketing in 2006. Though it is not well-known, Amanda is the grease that totally smoothes the way for the completion of these newsletters (not to mention quite a lot of other things that get done around here).
