Julie takes a moment from her work
to pose for the camera.
It doesn’t look like Amol is working hard
yet, but we wish him the best of luck in
his new endeavor.
Petri in his native Finland.
Julie has a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from the University of Santa Clara. Julie has worked in purchasing, accounting, e-commerce marketing and retail management in a variety of industries. Welcome Julie!
Amol Palekar has left Flow Science to pursue his “passion to solve business problems, see the big picture and work in the financial industry.” Now located in Chicago, Amol is employed as a Marketing Business Analyst and will be developing and executing new marketing strategies.
We asked Amol what he will miss about Flow Science, and he replied, “The close-knit work culture, people and client interaction. I will miss the stimulating discussions I had with other team members. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone at FSI for making my stay at FSI so wonderful. I wish the very best to everyone at FSI and all the users of FLOW-3D.”
We bid a fond farewell to Petri Väyrynen, a visiting research scientist from Helsinki University of Technology. Petri has spent the last year and a half splitting his time between Flow Science’s office in Santa Fe and the University of Alabama in Birmingham, researching and modeling continuous casting tundish and mold flow processes. He is now back in Finland to finish his Ph.D. dissertation.
