"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works."
The ever-increasing complexity of new technologies, new designs and new products, makes it harder and harder for companies to achieve or maintain market leadership status. In this issue of the Newsletter, our application note illustrates how, by modeling piezo inkjets using FLOW-3D, Océ Technologies B.V was able to understand the intricate behavior of piezo inkjet print heads and give themselves an edge in an extremely competitive marketplace.
Following the cue of Océ and feedback from other FLOW-3D users, our development note this issue describes how we're incorporating a new model which will enable users to model deformations and flexing walls as the next phase in increasing our fluid structure interaction modeling capabilities.
Not only are users' requests for new modeling capabilities of great importance to us, but so are their many and varied applications of FLOW-3D. Both our European and World Users Conferences are valuable events for both us and our customers to learn new ways in which FLOW-3D can be used, preview our development plans, and share valuable design knowledge. Last, but not least, we've started a series of Advanced Training Classes, beginning with a class dedicated to issues faced by hydraulics engineers.
We hope to see you at an upcoming conference, tradeshow or training class.
