Flow Science will hold its 2006 FLOW-3D World Users Conference in Denver, Colorado, at the Embassy Suites Hotel/Denver Tech Center from September 21-22, 2006. On Wednesday, September 20, the day before the Users Conference begins, we will hold a half-day Advanced Training course. FLOW-3D User Wins Award
458 posters were presented at the largest Drexel University-wide annual research enterprise. Ph.D. candidate and FLOW-3D user Milan Ivosevic won Dean's award for the poster titled "Splatting of Thermally Sprayed Polymer Particles," in the category of emerging technologies. Milan is the only graduate student to win the best poster award three times at Drexel's Research Days.
Moving Up
Amanda Ruggles has been promoted to Marketing Assistant in Flow Science's Sales & Marketing Department, working under Dave Souders. Amanda, a graduate of St. John's College in Santa Fe, started with Flow Science last September as Administrative Assistant and has demonstrated the value of St. John's Great Books Program with her insights and especially her improvements to the sometimes-atrocious writing styles of Flow Science's engineers and scientists.
Laurel Elena
In our last newsletter, we announced the birth of Miss Laurel Elena Souders to David and Kimberly Souders. We are happy to report that Laurel is healthy, happy, and growing fast.
Training schedule
The next scheduled dates for FLOW-3D training are August 8-11, October 10-13 and December 5-8, 2006.
