2004 FLOW-3D World Users Conference
A reminder: Flow Science is planning its 2004 FLOW-3D Users Conference for September 20-21 in Chicago, Illinois. The meeting will be held at the Summit Executive Centre in the heart of downtown Chicago. Flow Science staff will be on hand to discuss the newest developments to be included the latest FLOW-3D release, due out this summer. Also planned is a half-day of training on the new release and the new features and models.
In addition, there will be user presentations showing FLOW-3D work results. And the opportunity for appointments with Flow Science staff to discuss modeling issues and other questions will be given.
The deadline for early registration has passed, but space is still available. The registration fee is $175.00 US. Don't miss out on this conference!
Philip Barkhudarov, son of Dr. Michael Barkhudarov, one of Flow Science’s key developers, graduated with honors from Los Alamos High School on June 6th. Philip, a National Merit finalist and member of the National Honor Society, received a scholarship from the Los Alamos Chapter of ASMI, and will attend University College Utrecht in the Netherlands this fall.
Call for Papers
Flow Science invites you to show your (FLOW-3D) stuff! You are invited to make a presentation at the 2004 FLOW-3D Users Conference this September 20-21. Benchmarks, case studies, research projects, applications to process design and optimization--all are welcome! All presentations will be included in a CD to be distributed to all conference attendees and later made available, via our website, to the general public.
If you are interested, please contact Rena Coby-Madrid as soon as possible. Send us your abstracts now! Final presentations will be due by September 10, 2004.
Congratulations, Ron and Sue!
The Newsletter staff has fallen behind in keeping up with Ron Harper's growing family. Ron, a Senior Programmer, has become a grandfather for the third time. Carissa age 3, and Cassidy age 1, Summers have been joined by Marissa Harper, 9 months (center in the photo).
