Hydrovision Pre-Conference Workshop
Taking Advantage of the New Features in FLOW-3D, Including the Sediment Transport Model

This workshop will explore using the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software, FLOW-3D, to test and validate designs of hydraulic structures. The course is designed to demonstrate how CFD can be applied to water & environmental applications, answer why 3-dimensional numerical modeling is important, discuss the limitations of numerical modeling, present successful projects, and demonstrate new data output and advanced modeling capabilities of the software.
The workshop will also focus on FLOW-3D's multi-component sediment scour model with bedload transport. This advanced model enables engineers to gain a significant insight into erosion around structures.
