The 14th FLOW-3D European Users Conference

The 14th annual FLOW-3D European Users Conference will be held June 17-18, 2014 in Vienna, Austria at the NH Danube. Free advanced training for the water & environmental industry will be held Monday, June 16 at the conference hotel. In addition, a technical tour of the hydraulic laboratory at TU Wien - Vienna will be offered on Monday morning. All FLOW-3D users—and anyone interested in becoming a FLOW-3D user—are invited to attend the conference.

The conference will commence with an opening reception, the evening of Monday, June 16. Flow Science would like to invite all conference attendees and their guests for a welcome aperitif and appetizers at the NH Danube. The reception will begin at 18:00.

Call for Abstracts!

The call for abstracts is now open. Share your experiences, present your success stories and obtain valuable feedback from your fellow FLOW-3D users and Flow Science staff. The deadline to submit an abstract is Friday, April 25. Notifications of presentation acceptance will be sent out on Friday, May 2. If you are interested in presenting, please email your abstract to us.

Conference Registration

Online registration for the conference is now available. Conference registration will be waived for one presenter per presentation. The early-bird registration fee of 100 € includes the two-day conference, opening reception and conference dinner as well as morning and afternoon coffee breaks. Attendees can sign up for the free advanced training and technical tour on the registration form.

Free Advanced Training for the Water & Environmental Industry

Flow Science will offer a 1/2 day session of advanced FLOW-3D training for the water & environmental industry on Monday, June 16 at the NH Danube directly preceding the conference. The training will focus on the completely new sediment 3-D and 2-D shallow water scour models in FLOW-3D v11, hybrid 3-D/2-D shallow-water modeling for large domains, efficient model and project workflows for hydraulics problems, and hints and tips for using FlowSight, FLOW-3D's new post-processing and visualization tool. Attendees can sign up for the training when they register online.

Technical Tour

We are pleased to offer a tour of the hydraulic laboratory at TU Wien - Vienna, led by Dr. Boris Huber. The tour will start at 9:00 am on Monday, June 16 and last about 2 hours. You can preview the laboratory facilities on TU Wien's website. We will provide more details and directions to the laboratory as we near the conference.

Please sign up for the technical tour when you register for the conference. The tour is limited to 15 attendees.

Abstracts should be 250 words or less and include the title of the presentation, author(s) name(s), job title, and company/institution name. If there are multiple authors, please list the presenter first. MS Word format is preferred. The deadline to submit an abstract is Friday, April 25. Notifications of presentation acceptance will be sent out on Friday, May 2. Presentation Information

The conference fee for one presenter per presentation will be waived. Presentation formats can be either a PowerPoint file or a file format that can be opened in PowerPoint. Final presentations are due Friday, June 6. Each presenter will have a 30 minute speaking slot — 20 minutes for presenting and 10 minutes for Q & A. Please contact us if you have any questions about presenting at the conference.
