13th Annual FLOW-3D European Users Conference
The 13th annual FLOW-3D European Users Conference will be held June 13-14, 2013 in Madrid, Spain at the Hotel Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII. Free training on FlowSight™, the embedded and customized version of EnSight in FLOW-3D will be held the afternoon of June 12 at the conference hotel. All FLOW-3D users—and anyone interested in becoming a FLOW-3D user—are invited to attend the conference.
The conference will commence with an opening reception, the evening of Wednesday, June 12. Flow Science would like to invite all conference attendees and their guests for a welcome aperitif and appetizers at the Hotel Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII. The reception will begin at 19:00.
Speakers Announced!
Users throughout Europe, from both the commercial sector and academia, will present and discuss their work. An exciting lineup of speakers include Roche Diagnostics GmbH (Germany), Électricité de France S.A. (France), Sendekia (Spain), Form Stampi (Italy), and Antrametal (Turkey). Wave energy, aerospace, casting, microfluidics, coating, and hydraulics are among the represented application areas. Go here for a full list of speakers and their topics.

Conference Registration
Online registration for the conference and free training is now available. The last day to register for the conference is Friday, May 31, 2013. The registration fee includes access to the opening reception, 1/2 day of training, 2 days of user and development talks, the conference dinner and breaks and lunches both days. The conference registration will be waived for one presenter per presentation. If you plan on submitting an abstract, you will be invoiced for the conference after the abstract notification date.
Free Training: FlowSight™ - Advance Beta Version
Flow Science will offer a 1/2 day of free training on FlowSight™, FLOW-3D’s future visualization tool, Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 13:00 - 17:00 in the Retiro Meeting Room at the Hotel Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII directly preceding the conference. Attendees can sign up for the training when they register online.
A beta version of FlowSight™ will be made available in advance to conference attendees who sign up for the training. Attendees will be encouraged to download and install this beta on their laptops, to bring to the training. Flow Science will provide results files for use in the training exercises.

Conference Dinner
This year’s conference dinner will be held at El Barril de Recoletos, Thursday, June 13 at 21:00. Flow Science would like to invite all attendees and their guests to the conference dinner. Please RSVP for the conference dinner when you register for the conference.
The restaurant is a short walk (about 8 minutes) from the conference hotel. Directions will be provided in the conference materials.

is located in the front of the Retiro Park.

The building of the Petit Palace Savoy Alfonso XII was previously a palace dating from the 19th century and is located in Alfonso XII street. Just a few meters from the Hotel Savoy Alfonso XII there are several important, representative and historical buildings and tourist attractions such as: the Cason del Buen Retiro, the Puerta de Alcalá and the Plaza de Cibeles where the famous Cibeles Fountain was designed by the renowned architect Ventura Rodríguez, Palacio de Comunicaciones now the current head office of the mayor of Madrid, Palacio de Linares or House of America and Bank of Spain.
The prestigious and famous museums in the so-called Golden Triangle of Museums (Prado, Thyssen and Reina Sofia) are 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

We have negotiated a special rate of 138 € plus 10% tax/single use and 145 € plus 10% tax/double use. Both rates include buffet breakfast as well as free wi-fi in the guest rooms and throughout the hotel, including the meeting room. These rates are valid from June 11 - June 15, 2013.

Call for Abstracts!
The call for abstracts is now closed. Notifications of presentation acceptance will be sent out on Friday, April 5, 2013.
Presentation Information
The conference fee for one presenter per presentation will be waived. Presentation formats can be either a PowerPoint file or a file format that can be opened in PowerPoint. Final presentations are due Friday, May 31, 2013. Each presenter will have a 30 minute speaking slot — 20 minutes for presenting and 10 minutes for Q & A.
