River Hydraulics and Open Channel Flows

River dynamics involve complex interactions among flow, sediment transport and channel outline. Predicting these interactions is a key to many river management problems, including channel migration, width adjustment and habitat development. FLOW-3D can be used to aid in addressing complexity of river dynamics and to predict fluvial behavior.
Sediment transport and deposition are important processes that must
be considered in the successful design of treatment facilities. FLOW-3D’s
scour model accounts for the erosion of settled material, its re-suspension and
transport.
