Sales Engineer
Flow Science, Inc. is a leading provider of computational fluid dynamics software. Our software, FLOW-3D, is used by engineers, designers, and scientists at top manufacturers and institutions throughout the world to simulate and optimize product designs. Many of the products used in our daily lives, from the components in an automobile to the paper towels we use to dry our hands, have been designed or improved through the use of FLOW-3D.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in software sales.
The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
This position will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing, and will work directly with potential customers to determine their needs and how our products and services can best provide the solutions they require.
The primary areas of work will include:
- Generate sales opportunities through prospect identification, verification and validation.
- Follow up on prospect inquiries with timely and accurate responses.
- Create and deliver web-based technical presentations in target application areas.
- Perform web-based and onsite product demonstrations to interested prospects.
- Prepare for and attend trade shows and conferences.
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., engineering, science, math) is required; an engineering degree is preferred. Coursework in business administration or marketing will be very beneficial. The candidate must have strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
